Lost on the footpath behind the cricket club: one wedding ring, plain gold, slipped off while demonstrating a bowling action that was already a mistake in 1998. The grass has been searched by me, by my wife, and by a man with a metal detector who found nine bottle tops and a sense of purpose. Reward offered, and no questions asked about why I was bowling.
