For Sale
For sale: one bread maker, barely used, in the box it came in and the second box we bought to post it to a relative who then said no. It makes an excellent loaf provided you are willing to stand beside it at half past five in the morning and agree with everything it does. We are not those people and we have made our peace with that.

Wanted
Wanted: a second opinion on a hedge. Mine runs along the back of a property in Cuddington and I have been told by a neighbour that it is now, in his words, a structure. I would like someone to look at it, nod, and say the word bush out loud where he can hear it.

Free to a Good Home
Free to a good home: a tortoiseshell cat, long haired, who has lived here for eleven months and has never once entered the house through a door. She arrived through a utility room window and has treated that route as a binding contract ever since. Collection by arrangement, though she will almost certainly beat you back here.
Box C029
Lost
Lost somewhere on the walk between Haddenham and Oakley: one canvas tote containing a flask, a bus timetable from a previous arrangement of the universe, and a single leather glove whose partner was lost in 2019 and mourned properly at the time. The flask is dented on one side. Honestly it is the glove I want.

Trade, Decorating
Quentin Starbuck, decorating, interiors only, walls, ceilings, woodwork, and the bit behind the radiator that everybody else pretends is not there. I will paint over your previous colour without asking what you were thinking when you chose it, which I consider the main thing people are paying for. Based in Haddenham, working across Thame and the villages.
