Aylesbury LEGO shop marks first year with prize draw for rare Star Wars set

Retired Sets, the LEGO shop at Unit 6 on Bessemer Crescent in Aylesbury, is marking a year in business with a Christmas prize draw. The prize is a rare LEGO Star Wars Cloud City set, valued at around £4,000, which includes an exclusive Boba Fett minifigure with detailed printing on its arms and legs. The shop says the pre-owned set has been inventory checked and comes complete with its minifigures, original box and instructions.
Entries are earned through qualifying purchases of £50 or more, with one entry per qualifying purchase, up to and including Christmas Eve. Purchases at the Aylesbury shop count, and so do those made at the company's Glasgow shop, through its website, at National Brick Events stalls and via its Whatnot sales. All the entries go into a single draw, and the winner will be announced on 31 December 2026.
The shop opened on 1 November 2025, after the business began by trading at events with Aylesbury as its base. As it grew, the owners moved into a larger warehouse nearby and turned the original unit into a shop. A second shop has since opened in Glasgow, though Aylesbury remains the home base.
Stock changes every day, which the owners say gives regulars a reason to keep dropping in, with some calling in almost daily to see what has arrived. People can offer sets to the shop through the selling section of its website and drop them off in person, so retired pieces turn up regularly. Visitors have travelled from as far as the United States to see the shop, and the owners say they would like to keep growing in Aylesbury and eventually find bigger premises here.
