Overnight closures on Tring Road as A41 corridor work continues

Drivers heading into Aylesbury should allow extra time over the coming weeks, with Tring Road shut overnight between New Road and Bedgrove while carriageway surfacing is carried out. The closure runs daily from 7pm to 7am, weekends excluded, from Monday 19 October until Tuesday 3 November. Buckinghamshire Council says ironworks will be reinforced where needed and road markings put back as part of the job.
The work is part of the wider A41 corridor scheme south of the town and the development of the new Woodlands roundabout. A 24 hour lane closure is also in place on the A41 Aston Clinton Road, on the Aston Clinton side of the Woodlands roundabout, between Monday 19 October and Friday 23 October. That is supported by 24 hour traffic lights and allows utility trench work to start, with the trench crossing the carriageway and deep excavation in both the footway and the road.
Elsewhere in Aylesbury Vale, the A413 Nash Lee and London Road, better known as the Wendover bypass, closes from Thursday 22 October to Wednesday 28 October, Monday to Friday between 7pm and 7am, again for carriageway surfacing. Hampden Road in Aylesbury is closed from 7am to 7pm on 22 October for ironworks.
Footway reconstruction begins on Fowler Road from Wednesday 21 October until Saturday 21 November, under a lane closure with traffic lights from 9.30am to 3.30pm, Monday to Saturday. Similar footway work continues on Langdon Avenue and Ballard Close, where a footway closure and diversion are in place Monday to Saturday from 7am to 7pm.
Work also carries on with the Buckingham Railway Walk active travel scheme, where a new toucan crossing is going in on Tingewick Road. Two way lights are operating 24 hours a day on Tingewick Road between Dunstan Street and the industrial park, and a lane closure is in place on the A421 at its junction with Meadway from 9.30am to 3.30pm, with the Meadway junction resurfaced in phases. The scheme is expected to run until February 2027.
