Streetlight outside number 9 has been out for four months. Reported it twice. Nothing. Do something about it.

I write with regard to the bench on the green, which I understand was installed at some expense, though nobody seems to know quite how much, and which faces entirely the wrong way, toward the hedge rather than the view, a decision I can only assume was made by someone who has never actually sat on a bench. I raised this with the council in March, and again in June, and was sent, on both occasions, a leaflet about registering for the electoral roll, which I did not ask for and already have several copies of. I am not a difficult woman. I simply like to see the duck pond when I sit down.

I am writing to formally register my objection to being described, in your publication, as ‘a man who once went to Cornwall’. For the record, I have visited Cornwall on two separate occasions, both documented, and I have retained the relevant photographs should evidence be required. I trust a correction will follow.

I don't like to make a fuss, and I'm sure it's nothing, but the noise from number 14 on Tuesday evening was really something, wasn't it. I'm sure they have their reasons. I just hope everyone's alright over there. Anyway, lovely weather.
